Built-in Sample Plugins
ArchTect ships two example plugins, both disabled by default. They exist to demonstrate the plugin API, not as recommended everyday tools — enable them from the Plugins panel if you want to see it in action.
Metrics Plugin
Section titled “Metrics Plugin”Shows diagram statistics — element and relationship counts and similar metrics — in its own panel. Demonstrates:
- Panel registration with custom UI
- A command with a keyboard shortcut
- A read-only inspector that reacts to the current selection
- Context subscriptions for reactive updates
- Scoped, plugin-local storage and logging
Chart Visualizer
Section titled “Chart Visualizer”A more complete example covering the full plugin surface: panel registration, inspector integration, command creation, menu items, context management, and cleanup handling on deactivation.
Using these as a starting point
Section titled “Using these as a starting point”If you’re building your own plugin, these two are the reference implementations — read their source for a working example of every extension point (panels, inspectors, commands, menus, context, storage, logging) rather than assembling one from documentation alone.
