Missing Views
If a view doesn’t appear in the Views panel, check the following:
Common causes
Section titled “Common causes”View not defined in DSL
Section titled “View not defined in DSL”Make sure the view exists inside the views { } block of your workspace:
views { systemContext mySystem "MyView" { include * autoLayout }}Duplicate view key
Section titled “Duplicate view key”Each view must have a unique key. If two views share the same key, only one will appear. Rename the duplicate:
views { systemContext mySystem "ContextView" { ... } container mySystem "ContainerView" { ... }}Filtered view hiding the base view
Section titled “Filtered view hiding the base view”When a filtered view is defined for a base view, the base view may be hidden. This is expected behavior in Structurizr-compatible rendering. The filtered view replaces the base view in the panel.
View scope doesn’t match model
Section titled “View scope doesn’t match model”A container view scoped to a software system that has no containers defined will appear empty or may not render. Make sure the scoped element has the expected children.
Still not seeing your view?
Section titled “Still not seeing your view?”- Open the DSL Editor tab and search for your view definition.
- Check for syntax errors that might prevent the view from being parsed.
- Try adding
autoLayoutandinclude *to the view to ensure it has content.
